Prince of Tennis Summer Valentine Event Gets Official Day

After receiving nearly half a million Valentine chocolates this year, The annual Prince of Tennis summer Valentine event is officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association. The association designated August 14 as "Happy Summer Valentine Day" on Tuesday and awarded Prince of Tennis creator Takeshi Konomi with a certificate to acknowledge the day.
Konomi announced results of the annual chocolate campaign at the"Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama 2018 Valentine Choco Kakutoku Ranking ~Happy Summer Valentine~ in Sendai" the same day. Character Ryoma Echizen took the top spot, followed by Shusuke Fuji in second place and Keigo Atobe in third place.
Last year, Hikaru Amane took first, followed by Seiichi Yukimura and Keigo Atobe.
The Prince of Tennis anime franchise is currently releasing its Tennis no Ōjisama BEST GAMES!! OAV episodes. The first OVA will have a limited two-week screening in Japan beginning on August 24, and will ship in Japan on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on October 26. Three OVAs are currently planned in the project.
