Natsume's Book of Friends Gets 1/8-Scale Figure for Anime's 10th Anniversary, New Film

Natsume's Book of Friends is inspiring a new figure to celebrate both the original television anime's 10th anniversary and the upcoming release of the Natsume Yūjin-Chō: Utsusemi ni Musubu film. The Natsume and Nyanko-sensei figure is slated for release in June 2019.
The 1/8-scale figure is based on an illustration created specially for this project. The 250-millimeter (about 10-inch) figures shows Natsume and Nyanko-sensei sharing a glance amid natural scenery. The figure's base features a lantern, rocks, and a stream.
The figure costs 16,800 yen (about US$150), and the Aniplex+ website will accept pre-orders until November 30. People who order through Aniplex+ will receive a rubber charm with a voice recording of Hiroshi Kamiya, who plays Natsume. Fans who order through Animate will receive a clear file.
Gekijōban Natsume Yūjin-Chō: Utsusemi ni Musubu (Natsume's Book of Friends the Movie: Tied to the Temporal World), the anime film of Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume's Book of Friends (Natsume Yūjin-Chō) manga, will premiere on September 29 in Japan.
