Cardcaptor Sakura's Pancakes Feature on TV Show About Sweets

"Cardcaptor Sakura's Pancakes" will be the featured dish on the episode of the Gretel no Kamado (Gretel's Stove) television program that will air on NHK E Tele (NHK Educational TV) on October 1. Cardcaptor Sakura manga creator team CLAMP wrote the script for a new short story that will appear in the episode.
In CLAMP's original manga and its anime, Sakura is good at making pancakes. They appear in the series on various occasions when Sakura is going through different circumstances in her life. According to the television program's listing for the upcoming episode, the members of CLAMP also have a "deep affection" for pancakes.
Kōji Seto hosts Gretel no Kamado as Hansel to introduce viewers to a variety of sweet confections. The program is aimed at women, and it tells stories while showcasing sweets that celebrities love, that appear in masterpiece artistic and literary works, that represent specific locations inside and outside Japan, or that can touch the heart. Each episode features one sweet food item chosen for the season.
