Yuichiro Umehara Voices Bartender to Promote Sapporo Beer's New Drink

Sapporo Beer's Ume Kaku Kajitsu Shitate no Umeshu Cocktail Yuzu (a plum wine drink with yuzu) went on sale in Japan on Wednesday. To promote the release, voice actor Yuichiro Umehara is voicing a bartender character in a series of web videos.
Umehara's character is a worldly bartender at Ume Kaku Bar, whose personality reflects both the good and bad things he has seen in this life. There are a total of 10 videos, which are aimed at women, and they seek to recreate the de-stressing experience of interacting with a bartender. Illustrator majocco provided the illustrations and character designs for Umehara's bartender.
Sapporo Beer is also running a Twitter campaign to offer a chance to win bottles of the new plum wine. The promotion will offer sets of four bottles to 30 winners.
Umehara recently returned to work after being hospitalized and receiving treatment for acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), an autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system.
