Sanrio Collaborates With Pretty All Friends Project for Super-Deformed Merch
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The Pretty arcade game series' Pretty All Friends project is collaborating with Sanrio, and campaign illustrations debuted last week.
The illustrations feature super-deformed versions of Aira, Rizumu, Mion, Mia, Naru, Laala, and Yui, as well as mascot characters such as Rabi-chi and Punicorn. Tin badges, rubber straps, pouches, hand towels, and other merchandise featuring the illustrations will go on sale at the end of November.
Pretty All Friends will get a collaboration café in Amo Cafe, which is on the second floor of the franchise's Prism Stone shop in Harajuku, Tokyo. The café is slated to open in the middle of January, and its menu will feature Valentine's Day-themed items. Limited-edition merchandise will also be available for purchase.
In addition, the guest character Mutton Nagatsuji, a popular manga creator, will appear in the Kiratto Pri☆Chan anime. Mutton will appear in episode 31, titled "Manga no Genjō Ittemita!," which will premiere on November 4. Manga creator Hitsuji Tsujinaga (PriPara, Kiratto Pri☆Chan manga adaptations) is providing the manga manuscripts for Mutton that will appear in the anime. (The character's name reverses the parts of Tsujinaga's last name and substitutes the English word for "sheep meat" for Tsujinaga's first name, which can also mean "sheep.")
The Kiratto Pri☆Chan anime premiered in April.
