posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Visitors can meet That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime's Veldora from the perspective of Rimuru at the upcoming That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime event in Osaka and Tokyo. The exhibition will include a virtual reality segment where visitors will see the series world from the perspective of Rimuru and meet the dragon Veldora.

The entire exhibition will have five sections including the guest house, a tourist-type area where visitors can learn about the country Rimuru founded, and an area displaying original art from the light novel series and manga. There will also be photo spots, the aforementioned VR area, and exhibits to help bring Jura Tempest to life.

The displays will first come to Osaka's Daimaru Shinsaibashi department store from March 13-25 before heading to the Matsuya Ginza department store in Tokyo from March 27 to April 9.

Fuse's That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime novels and the corresponding manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami won the grand prize at the BookWalker 2018 Awards. Yen Press licensed the novel series, and it describes the story:

Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm...as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!

The anime premiered on October 1. Crunchyroll is streaming the series, and FUNimation Entertainment is streaming an English dub.
