Ryota Katayose, Kanna Hashimoto star in December 6 film

Shochiku's YouTube channel began streaming a Coca-Cola advertisement themed around the live-action film of Rin Mikimoto's Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight (Gozen 0-ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo) manga. The commercial features GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE's Ryota Katayose as Kaede Ayasa and actress Ayaka Wilson. The video shows their sudden and fateful encounter, parting, and reunion.

The film will open in Japan on December 6. Takehiko Shinjō is directing the film, with a script by Haruka Ōkita. GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE are performing the film's theme song "One in a Million -Kiseki no Yoru ni-" (A Night of Miracles).

The cast includes:

Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story of the first volume:

At school, Hinana is an honors student, respected by all her classmates. She's totally above things as juvenile as crushes and dating. Secretly, though, she has but one wish: To have a fairy-tale romance. One day, a super-hot celebrity named Kaede shows up at Hinana's high school to shoot a movie, and it becomes difficult to keep up her act. By pure chance—or y'know, fate!—Kaede reveals his own ridiculous personality to Hinana, and her ordinary life turns breathtakingly romantic! Or just really, really … weird?!

Mikimoto launched the manga in the magazine in 2015. The 10th volume shipped on April 12, and the 11th volume will ship on November 13. Kodansha Comics published the ninth English volume on August 27. The manga was nominated in the Best Shōjo Manga category for the 43rd annual Manga Awards.
