Production IMS' TV anime of Ayumu Kasuga's manga to premiere in July

The June issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine is announcing on Thursday that Bakuman. anime director Noriaki Akitaya will direct the television anime adaptation of Ayumu Kasuga's four-panel manga Jōkamachi no Dandelion (Castle Town Dandelion).

Akitaya will helm the series at Production IMS (Inari Kon Kon, The Testament of Sister New Devil, Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!). Reiko Yoshida (Non Non Biyori, Bakuman., You and Me.) will handle series composition, and Shinpei Kobayashi (Aldnoah.Zero, Inari Kon Kon) will design the characters and serve as animation director.

The magazine also unveiled the show's first key visual and announced that the anime will premiere on Japan's TBS and other networks this July.

In the manga's story, the everyday lives of the nine super-powered siblings of the royal family are monitored by more than 200 surveillance cameras and broadcast nationwide. The people of the nation who are watching the broadcast will have the ability to elect the next monarch. The story focuses on Akane, the third-oldest sister who can manipulate gravity. She is shy and desperately does not want to be caught on camera.

Kasuga launched the manga in 2012, and Houbunsha published the second compiled book volume last June. Kasuga previously designed the characters for the Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! anime that premiered last October.
