posted on 1999-01-14 00:00 EST
Japan Society tells ANN that a few changes have been made to the schedule for the Anime Symposium scheduled for January 23 and 24.
The Symposium will play host to the World premiere of "Jin-Roh," written by Mamoru Oshii and directed by Hiroyuki Okira. (The screening will take place on Saturday, January 23 at 4:30 pm, and replaces the screenings of CPM releases announced earlier). Both Jin-Roh and the Evangelion feature films will be presented in 35mm film.
Special presentations will be made by Mamoru Oshii and Yoshitaka Amano, who will display their works, "Ghost in the Shell" and "Gatchaman," respectively. Animation workshops have been scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, January 24. All events are held at the Japan Society, 333 East 47th Street, New York City. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Society box office at (212) 752-3015.
