SCI-FI.com has decided to pull the plug on its Anime Colony website. According to Kane Tung, operator of Anime Colony, Anime Colony was a success and one of SciFi's most popular websites however other sectiond of SciFi have not been quite as asuccessful and overspending in those departments has led to the decision to restructure.

Anime Colony was one of the sponsors and organizers of this year's very successful The New York Anime Film Festival, part of the first annual New York Film Festival.

SCI-FI.com has yet to decide what to do with Anime Colony's large databse of reviews and articles. They have hinted that Anime Colony's close to 1000 reviews might be integrated into a future SciFi movie databse (no such databse currently exists at SciFi.com) or they may simply be discarded.
