News YTV Escaflowne News
posted on 2000-11-17 10:34 EST
According to a representative of Canadian Cable TV channel YTV they have already aquired copies of the entire "first season of Vision of Escaflowne, all 23 or 26 episode".
YTV aquired the TV series from Fox television and is airing Fox's edited version as opposed to the original version (which is now available on VHS and DVD from Bandai). The original version of Escaflowne is exactly 26 episodes in length, however it remains unclear exactly how many episodes are in the edited version.
From teh statements of the YTV representative it would seem clear that although she was not 100% certain on the number of episodes, YTV does indeed have the entire series and will continue to broadcast it beyond "Prophecy Of Doom" which was the final episode aired by Fox.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
When the set ends, it's on a note of combined hope and sadness that drives us onto the next volume as surely as the mounting disasters of last volume drove us to this one.
Those who found the humor of the first volume entertaining enough to keep reading will not regret their decisions. It may not be the funniest or most original thing out there, but it works, and works well.
