Anime Encyclopedia due out this year

"A guide to Japanese Animation since 1917", this new book holds information on thousands of anime titles...

Miki Terasawa from Stone Bridge Press wrote today:

"The Anime Encyclopedia: A Guide to Japanese Animation Since 1917... [is] due out in Fall 01.

This guide will be the most comprehensive of its kind in any language, including Japanese, and will include over 2,000 anime from 1917 through 2001.
Each film will be listed with key personnel (director, writer, animator, music, voice actors, etc.) running time, studio name, alternative titles (Eng/J), and a critique/description with ratings.
Needless to say, we're VERY excited about it already. Helen McCarthy and Jonathan Clements, the British anime experts, are the authors.
"

"This is going to be a big book (over 500 pages, we estimate) and almost 10 years in the making. Just wanted to let you know and get the word out!"
