Kiki's Delivery Service DVD Releases

News about both the Japanese and American releases of Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service.
On the rec.arts.anime.misc newsgroup, John Andersen has posted a e-mail he recieved from a "very reliable source" at Buena Vista concerning both the upcoming Kiki's Delivery Service and Laputa: Castle in the Sky DVD releases.
Quoting from the newsgroup post:
"Please be patient, we are working toward a DVD release in North America for KIKI's and LAPUTA. I do not have firm dates yet but hopefully sometime near the end of this year/beginning of next".
Meanwhile, Nguyen Ilan has posted some information to the Miyazaki Mailing List concerning the upcoming Japanese release of Kiki's Delivery Service.
According to his post, the DVD is due out June 8th, 2001 and will cost 4700 yen. It will include both English and Japanese audio. Bonuses will include movie trailers and a 4 minute, 45 second spot of "Sen to Chihiro no Kamigakushi", Ghibli's newest film.
