Kodansha, Japan's leading publisher and publisher of numerous popular Manga such as Kodocha and Love Hina, has signed a deal with Random House Inc., one of the world's largest publishers, to form a new joint venture called Random House Kodansha.
Random House Kodansha will be a Tokyo-based company that will publish Japanese translations of International fiction and Non-fiction. Although no immediate plans for International and North American translations of Kodansha material has been publicly discussed just yet, they did explain that Kodansha will be taking advantage of Random House's international distribution network.
