Anime North 2004 (and 2005) details

May 21-23 at the Toronto Congress Center, moving to Doubletree International Plaza Hotel in '05
Anime North 2004 will be held on the weekend of May 21-23 at the Toronto Congress Center, 650 Dixon Road. Room accommodations for attendees will be available at the nearby Best Western and Holiday Inn hotels. Following the sudden closure of the Regal Constellation hotel last July, the staff of Anime North had been scrambling to obtain a replacement for the largest convention hotel in the Toronto area. With the convention center space secured, Anime North 2004 planning is now proceeding steadily.
The shift from hotel to convention center grants Anime North significantly more floor space than in previous years, so con-goers should expect an expanded dealer's room, a larger masquerade, more j-pop/dance opportunities, and other features to take advantage of the vast amount of convention space.
Following the 2004 convention, Anime North will be returning to a hotel in 2005. Anime North 2005 will be held May 28-30 at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, 655 Dixon Road, directly across the street from the Toronto Congress Center.
