JSDF Co-Produces Anime

Six Episode OAV series, Oozora ~Sora~, due next year.
Oozora ~Sora~, a joint creation of Studio Nekoya and the Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF), deals with a group of free-agent pilots who work for the Japanese Government in order to compensate for the closing of the American airbases located in Japan.
The show will be a mixture of traditional animation and aerial combat scenes that are entirely CG. The first volume of this six episode OAV series is due out sometime next year. In addition to the 30 minute episode, the first volume will include a 10 minute pilot episode and a 15 minute "making of" featurette.
