Limelight off the Air

Anime in the Limelight ceases operations due to financial factors but hopes to bring the show back

Anime in the Limelight producers Doc & Lori Grant have informed us that their popular Internet radio show has become latest Internet radio casualty.

Effective April 9th, Anime in the Limelight had temporarily ceased operations due to production losses .

"2003 was not the best year for Internet radio, but 2004 is killer, " said William "Doc" Grant , Limelight Media's Sales VP. "Many other Internet radio shows have either cut back or closed up completely due to a variety of factors, including the recent recession and Iraq war jitters, but it all boils down to money. And unless something changes soon, we're next. We've begun a last ditch donation drive to raise the capital we need to stay on the air on KUMU AM 1500 in Honolulu, our affiliate Toon Radio in Buffalo NY and our standard web operation at www.limepub.com . Without it we're off the air, period. "

Limilight's donation drive has already raised just under $1800 of the $3000 they need to resurect the show. Limelight Media and Anime in the Limelight's host, DJ MAX, hope to have the show running again soon if the donation drive continues at its current pace.
