Kadokawa invests in Dreamworks

Daily Variety and the Hollywood Reporter are reporting that Kadokawa Holdings Inc. will purchase 2.8% of privately-owned Dreamworks SKG, the studio founded by Steven Spielberg in 1994. Kadokawa's investment gives the publisher exclusive rights to distribute DreamWorks' films, videos, DVDs, and other products in Japan. No word from either company on how this will affect anime titles in North America.
