An article in the Long Beach Press Telegram focuses on Geneon Entertainment (located in Long Beach) and their upcoming release of Appleseed. A few numbers mentioned in the article, Appleseed cost $10 million to make and Geneon is hoping to do "Akira-type numbers" with the release (Akira's 1999 DVD release has sold over 300,000 units). Geneon 'recently' did $100 million in annual sales.
