CPM Lays off Staff
posted on 2005-02-04 12:36 ESTCentral Park Media laid off a number of its staff in the comic book and sales departments this week. CPM's recent distribution deal with WEA was cited as a contributing factor in the layoff of sales staff. The changes made by the deal to sales, distribution and warehousing, created a redundancy of staff between WEA and CPM. Market factors, which are causing CPM to scale back its comic book release rate, were cited as contributing factors in the layoff's in the comic book department.
