Viz Flexes Licensing Muscle

Viz demonstrates its master licensor position with preschool anime and MegaMan NT Warrior in Latin America
Viz Media has announced that they have acquired the rights to preschool geared property Deko Boko Friends. They have sublicensed the properties merchandising rights to Spin Master Ltd. and publishing rights to Simon Spotlight, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing. The show will air on Nick Jr., Noggin and Nicktoons.
In a separate press release Viz Media announced that 52 episodes of MegaMan NT Warrior will air in Latin America in Brazil on TV Globo, in Mexico on Televisa, in Peru on America TV and in Venezuela on Venevision.
Viz Media was created through a merger of longtime North American anime licensor / distributor Viz, llc and licensing sister company ShoPro USA. The two press releases illustrate the company's new international licensing focus.
