American Teens Mop up Raunchy Japanese Manga

Mainichi Interactive has posted a translation of a Shukan Shincho article about the success of shoujo manga in North America. The article includes in the "shoujo" traditional shoujo fare such as Fruits Basket and material with "graphic sexuality." (Please note, the statement regarding Kodansha selling exclusively to Tokyopop is incorrect. While Tokyopop does publish numerous Kodansha properties, all Del Rey manga is from Kodansha's library).
