Jazz music is much the stars as the main cast in this story about teens who become friends in late 1960s Japan. Great sounds and good character development bolster what is otherwise a fairly pedestrian character drama.

Black Blood Brothers DVDs 2-3
While its defects in animation and other places prevent this from ever being considered a great vampire series, it ultimately becomes a fairly good one over its last eight episodes. Worth a look, even if early episodes disappointed you.
