Ventura Distribution to be Sold

First Look Studios will purchase Ventura Distribution for an estimated $20 million, according to Video Business. Ventura, which distributes DVDs for Viz Media, Tokyopop, and Urban Vision, is owed $5.8 million in unsecured debt as a result of Musicland's bankruptcy. Showtime has also sued Ventura for $7 million, claiming Ventura distributed products without paying for them.
