A young man tries to battle back against giant humanoids who feast on humans in this graphic, visceral, and fantastically intense action/horror story. Its great strengths overcome writing and production value inconsistencies.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.

UK review: This preposterous tale of walking sealife swarming into Japan is often hilariously stupid and offensive. Then again, few films throw so much at you so fast, including tacky sex scenes, plane and train crashes, mad Frankenstein scientists, and mutants with killer farts and bad breath.
