Detective School Q Television Drama Announced

Popular manga to become live-action drama for second time

Japanese network NTV has announced that they will be producing a live-action drama based on the popular manga Detective School Q. The manga, written by Tadashi Agi and drawn by Fumiya Satō, originally appeared in Weekly Shōnen Magazine between 2001 and 2004 and was made into a television anime in 2003.

Detective School Q was made into a two-hour special drama on NTV last year. This time, the drama will be aired on Tuesdays starting July 3 at 10:00 p.m.

Most of the acting talent from the 2006 special will return for the drama. Ryūnosuke Kamiki will reprise his role as Kyū, while Ryōsuke Yamada (from famous Japanese talent agency Johnny's Jr.) will reprise the role of Ryū, Kyū's rival.
