Last remaining Clamp anime without DVD release gets box set

The official Japanese CLAMP website has announced that Bandai Visual will release the CLAMP in Wonderland 1 & 2 1989–2006 Precious Box DVD on October 26 for 3990 yen (about US$32.50, tax included). The two Wonderland short clips, which bring together characters from 17 years of CLAMP works, were CLAMP'S last remaining animated works without a DVD release. Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Chobits, Paradise Kiss episode director) shot the second clip for Madhouse Studios with character designs and animation direction by Yumi Katō (Paradise Kiss).

The DVD will contain about 15 minutes of fullscreen and widescreen footage in Dolby Surround or Dolby Digital (stereo) sound. The limited first edition box will include a specially-made 230-page booklet with storyboards and interviews, a special CLAMP-illustrated pamphlet, and a cover illustration by CLAMP.

Victor Entertainment will also release a limited first edition music CD, tentatively titled CLAMP in Wonderland Precious Songs, on October 24. The CD will include the "action!" opening theme that was written and sung by Maaya Sakamoto, with music composed by h-wonder. The CD will also have the "Oh Yeah!!" ending theme, as sung and performed by Round Table featuring Nino. Rieko Itō wrote the song's lyrics and Katsutoshi Kitagawa composed it. The CD's price has not been announced.
