Vexille Opens Locarno Fest, Streams First Ten Minutes
posted on 2007-07-11 18:16 EDTVexille - 2077 Nippon Sakoku, the politically charged CG science-fiction thriller from Ping Pong director and Appleseed production team member Fumihiko Sori, will open the 60th Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland on August 1. The opening night screening at Piazza Grande, Europe's largest open-air theater, will be Vexille's world premiere before its August 18 opening in Japan. Separately, the media rental chain Tsutaya is previewing the entire first ten minutes of Vexille online with no geographic restrictions at 1Mb and 500 Kb bandwidths. Sources: animeanime.jp, Twitch
