Ayakashi manga, based on Crossnet's game, set for December

The official website for Crossnet's Ayakashi supernatural anime series has posted the project's second trailer in lzh-compressed Windows Media Video format. The anime series had a preview showing on the Japanese AT-X television channel on Sunday, and it will officially start on December 12. The website also notes that Youshi Kanoe's manga version will start in the February issue (on sale December 26) of Kodansha's Magazine Z. The anime and manga projects are spinoffs from Crossnet's Ayakashi visual-novel adventure game. Crossnet's entire franchise is unrelated to Animax's similarly titled Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales series that Geneon Entertainment USA released in North America; it is also unrelated to Bones' Ayakashi Ayashi series that Bandai Entertainment licensed for North America.

The official website for the Kite: Liberator sequel is streaming video highlights (500K or 1000K bandwidth) from "A Kite Premium Collectors Version," a December 21 re-issue of the original Kite video. The same website announced in November that the Japanese release of the Kite: Liberator sequel has been delayed.
