TV Anime Confirmed for Hakushaku to Yōsei Light Novels

posted on by Egan Loo
Victorian-era fantasy novels follow the Count of Blue Knights and "Fairy Doctor"

The official Japanese website of Shueisha's Cobalt Books imprint has confirmed that Mizue Tani's Hakushaku to Yōsei (The Count and The Fairy) historical fantasy light novels will be animated for television. Set in Victorian-era England, the story follows a 17-year-old girl Lydia Carlton whose fascination with fairies led to her nickname, the "Fairy Doctor." While sailing to London, Lydia encounters Edgar J.C. Ashenheart, the Count of the Blue Knights, and joins him on his search for the sword of his family lineage.

Fourteen novels and short-story collections have been published, including one that was released in Japan on Saturday. The light novels features the illustrations of Asako Takaboshi, although no staffers have been announced for the anime version yet. More details will be provided later in Cobalt magazine and its website.
