Antique Bakery Anime Hires Noted Pastry Chef Yoroizuka

posted on by Egan Loo

The television anime adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga's Antique Bakery manga has hired the celebrated pastry chef Toshi Yoroizuka to "produce" all the sweets that will appear in the slice-of-life baking series. Yoshinaga is famous for being the first Japanese pâtissier in a three-star restaurant in Belgium. He trained for eight years in Switzerland, Austria, France, and Belgium, but after gaining fame as a three-star chef, he returned to Tokyo to establish his own line of restaurants. Digital Manga Publishing released the manga in North America, and the anime series wil debut in Japan in July.
