The official Japanese website of Takashi Miike's live-action film adaptation of the Yatterman science-fiction comedy anime has posted a short teaser trailer. (In the linked page, select the Trailer link.) The teaser showcases the "life-size" Yatter-Wan (Yatter-Bark) mechanized robot that was built for the film. It tooks three months and 30 million yen (about US$280,000) to build the 5.5-meter-tall (18-foot-tall) Yatter-Wan model. Miike has directed scores of films and television works, including Ichi the Killer, Zebraman, Sukiyaki Western: Django, and Crows Zero.
