News Australia Opens World Cosplay Summit 2009 Competition

Less than a month after World Cosplay Summit 2008 concluded in Nagoya, Japan, Australia will become the first country to select its team for the 2009 round of the international competition. The Animania Festival convention will hold the country's final selection in Sydney on August 24. Three finalist teams have already been picked, and a fourth one will be named on the first day of Animania. The four two-person teams will then compete before a panel of judges for the right to represent Australia at the 2009 Summit.
A cosplayer duo from Brazil won this year's World Cosplay Summit, in which a total of 14 teams participated. The Chinese team were named the runners-up, while one of the two Japanese teams in the competition received a special prize from the event sponsors Brother.

Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.
