News Bandai Entertainment Delays 2 Gurren Lagann DVD Volumes (Updated)

The North American distributor Bandai Entertainment notified retailers that it had delayed its release of two volumes of Gainax's Gurren Lagann anime series. Volumes 3 and 4 were originally due to be released on January 6, 2009. Bandai had not given any reason for the sudden delay and had not rescheduled the release of both volumes.
Gurren Lagann will premiere on Canada's Super Channel 2 premium network on December 8. The American television run just finished on the Sci Fi channel earlier this month.
