Convention Update - Wai-Con and AiCon

We're starting off the 2009 convention season even earlier this year! Next weekend on the 31st of Jan to the 1st of Feb is Wai-Con, Perth's Anime Convention and the following weekend of the 7th and 8th is AiCon, the Tasmanian Anime Convention. And what's better is that we will be bringing you coverage of both and for the first time ever we will be having Ann|AU panels at both conventions! More information after the cut.

At Wai-Con, we will be running the following panels - Sunday the 1st of Feburary at 10am - Anime News Network Australia panel: Come along for our first ever panel, we'll talk a little about what we do and about reporting on anime in Australia. And we will have time to discover what you want to know about us! - Sunday the 1st of Feburary at 1:00pm - Webcomics, There is no such thing as a 'good' anime webcomic: We'll be taking a closer look at webcomics that are based around anime and why they usually don't work. We'll have examples on both sides of the fence, you know, to keep things balanced.

At AiCon we will be running the following panel - Saturday the 7th of Feburary at 11:30am - Anime News Network Australia panel: After working out all the kinks from the previous week, we should have a solid panel ahead of us. So please join us as we talk about Anime in Australia, and other stuff...
