Frogman creates promo with Heaven's Door cast, Tekkonkinkreet director

Frogman, the artist behind Eagle Talon The Movie - The Chancellor Only Lives Twice and other Flash-animated projects, created a promotional video to promote the new Heaven's Door film from Michael Arias. Michael Arias made his directorial feature debut with his award-winning animated adaptation of Taiyo Matsumoto's Tekkonkinkreet. For his second feature, Arias adapted the 1997 German film Knockin' on Heaven's Door with TOKIO singer/actor Tomoya Nagase (Sword of the Stranger, Ikebukuro West Gate Park) and actress Mayuko Fukuda (Kamikaze Girls, L change the WorLd). Mika Omori (Detroit Metal City) wrote the script about a 28-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl who learn they have three days to live. They decide to "break out" of the hospital in a convertible, since the girl has never seen the ocean before.

Heaven's Door's actual full trailer is available on the official website. (In the linked page, skip the opening and select the "Trailer" button.) The film opens in Japan on Saturday. Frogman's promotional video features two characters from his Eagle Talon comedies. The two introduce Heaven's Door by having Flash-animated versions of Nagase, Fukuda, and Arias appears as guests.
