Boys Be… Manga Gets New Manga on Mobile Comic Site

Boys Be…, the 1991-1997 romance manga anthology by writer Masahiro Itabashi and artist Hiroyuki Tamakoshi, is getting a new manga called Boys Be… 2009 1-Gakki (Boys Be… 2009 Term I) on Kodansha's MiChao mobile comic website in Japan. The first chapter, "Yūna Part I," is already on the site. The original manga explored teenage relationships from the perspectives of different ordinary high school boys. There have already been two previous follow-up manga series, Boys Be...2nd Season and Boys Be...L Co-op. The new manga continues the premise but updates the setting for the modern era in 2009.
Tokyopop published most of the Boys Be...2nd Season series, without the "2nd Season " appellation, in North America. The Right Stuf released the 2000 animated adaptation. There were also live-action television drama and stage musical adaptations in Japan.
