Anime of Makoto Sanda's supernatural comedy light novels to ship this fall

A page on Kadokawa Pictures USA's website has revealed that Right Stuf's Nozomi Entertainment production division has licensed the Rental Magica anime. In the supernatural comedy story, Isuki Iba is a high school student who inherits the Astral magic-for-hire service from his missing father. This 2007-2008 television series adapted the award-winning light novel series of the same name that were written by Makoto Sanda and illustrated by pako. Director Itsuro Kawasaki oversaw his Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE character co-designer Minako Shiba and the ZEXCS studio on this anime.

Nozomi Entertainment will ship the 24-episode series in two English-subtitled DVD box sets starting this fall. Each set will include a book with over 100 pages of background on the story. The DVDs will offer the option of viewing the episodes in the Japanese television broadcast order or the chronological order of the original novels' storyline. A trailer is available on Right Stuf's official website for the project.
