Viz Editor Reviews Portfolios at Georgia College

Viz Media editor Eric Searleman appeared at the Editors Day event in Georgia's Savannah College of Art and Design last weekend to participate in a panel and a portfolio review with editors from other American companies. The college posted an audio recording of the panel online. While Searleman spoke about what Viz was interested in publishing from creators outside Japan, he did not directly confirm that Viz is restarting its original content initiative. Searleman coordinated the initiative's first portfolio review at last July's Comic-Con International event with Marc Weidenbaum, Viz's former Vice President of Original Publishing. Weidenbaum left the company in February.
