Finale based on Naoki Urasawa's suspense manga to open in Japan on August 29

The official Japanese website for Yukihiko Tsutsumi's live-action film trilogy adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga posted a trailer for the third film this past week. (In the linked page, wait until the introductory Flash animation ends, and then select the fourth and last item, 予告編, in the center-left menu.) In the story of 20th Century Boys, a man realizes that calamities cropping up around the world have eerie similarities to idle plans he and his childhood friends made decades ago.

The third film, 20-Seiki Shōnen Saishū-Shō: Bokura no Hata (Twentieth Century Boys the Final Chapter: Our Flag), will open in Japan on August 29. Viz Media is publishing the third volume of the original manga in North America this month, and the first two films are screening in festivals in North America.
