Lost in Translation
The Japanese heavy metal band Sekima-II has collaborated with anime director Kobun Shizuno (Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshirô, Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Toki) on an anime short called "El Dorado." The 96-second short is named after a song by Sekima II that plays as the film short's theme. The band's MySpace page began streaming the short in North America this past week.
Sekima-II is slated to release Akuma Nativity "Song of the Sword", the new album that marks the 10th anniversary of band's nominal disbanding, on September 16. The band officially broke up in 1999 in part because their name literally means "End of the Century," but the members will mark the band's 25th anniversary next year.
