The Adult Swim programming block of America's Cartoon Network will premiere its first new Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit anime episode in almost 10 months tonight. The series adapts Nahoko Uehashi's fantasy novel about a spearwoman who protects a prince from his own father and other enemies. Episode 11, "Flower Wine for Tanda," will debut at 1:30 a.m. EDT/PDT. Adult Swim had shown the anime's first 10 episodes three times since last August.

The North American publisher Scholastic published the novel in English last summer. The television release was arranged before Media Blasters acquired the home video distribution rights from Geneon Entertainment. The anime features Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Eden of the East director Kenji Kamiyama and music composer Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Death Note, and Ringu films).

The new Moribito episode will follow two episodes of Bleach and precede repeats of several anime titles.
