Cencoroll's AIT presents story of bear cub looking for late mother's treasure

The 3D computer-graphics anime Love Rollercoaster will premiere on the NHK-Educational public broadcasting channel in Japan on Monday morning. The story centers around a young bear cub named John. On the night of his 10th birthday, John receives a letter from his grandfather with a message from his mother. John's mother tells him that, by the time John reads the letter, she would have passed away . However, she tells John of a present — a treasure that has been hidden away. With his later mother's encouragement, John embarks on a journey to find the treasure.

The computer animator Hiromasa Horie wrote, designed, directed and animated the series himself. Anime Innovation Tokyo, a joint collaboration between THINK (Neko Rahmen, Synthesisa) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to foster young creative talent in the anime field, helped bring the Love Rollercoaster project fruition as it did for another project from a one-man anime studio, Cencoroll.

Update: The anime already had its satellite/cable television premiere on the NHK BS2 channel on December 23, 2008, and has also been screened in Los Angeles. Thanks, Ask John.
