Eden of the East the Movie II: Paradise Lost to open in Japan on March 13

The official website for the Eden of the East anime franchise has begun streaming a one-minute trailer for the second theatrical film sequel on Monday. The trailer is also streaming at the official blog. Eden of the East the Movie II: Paradise Lost will open in Japan on March 13.

The final episode of the original television anime series aired in June with confirmation that the theatrical version will be split into two films. The first film, Eden of the East the Movie I: The King of Eden opened throughout Japan on December 19 — three weeks after the original scheduled date of November 28. The second film was expanded from 60 minutes to 90 minutes and pushed back from January 9 to March 13. The television series and the films feature Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex director Kenji Kamiyama and character designer Chika Umino (Honey and Clover).

Funimation announced at the Otakon event last July that it licensed the original television series for North America.
