Japan's Animation TV Ranking, April 5-11

GeGeGe no Nyōbō, Sunset on 3rd St., Precure, Shin-chan film, 3 Musketeers, Inazuma 11, Kaibutsu-kun

GeGeGe no Nyōbō (Spooky Wife), the live-action television drama adaptation of an autobiographical essay book by GeGeGe no Kitarō author Shigeru Mizuki's wife Nunoe Mura, rose in ratings on April 9 to 16.5. The live-action television adaptation of Takeru Kaidō's General Rouge no Gaisen (The Triumphant Return of General Rouge) novel premiered on April 6 with a 12.4 rating. Wonder Comic tied into the drama premiere by posting part of Rui Takatō's 2009 manga adaptation of the novel on its Twitter account on Friday — one panel at a time.

Takashi Yamazaki's live-action Always: Sunset on Third Street film re-ran on the NTV station on April 9 at 9:00 p.m. and earned a 7.3 rating. The award-winning 2005 film adapted Ryōhei Saigan's Sanchoume no Yuuhi - Yuuyake no Uta manga, which offered a nostalgic look at life in Japan after World War II. Crayon Shin-chan: Otakebe! Kasukabe Yasei Ōkoku, the 17th Crayon Shin-chan film, premiered on April 10 at 7:00 p.m. with a 6.9 rating.
