Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san Manga Gets 2nd Anime DVD (Updated)

Yasuhisa Kubo's comedy about detective & magical demons he uses for cases

The official website of the Japanese publisher Kodansha has announced that the limited edition of Yasuhisa Kubo's fifth Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san. manga volume will bundle the manga's second anime DVD. The bundle will ship on September 22 with about 25 minutes of anime. The new anime will adapt the manga's "Seiya Arc." The gag comedy story revolves around the detective Akutabe, his assistant Rinko Sakuma, and the various magical demons that Akutabe uses for his cases.

The manga has been running in Kodansha's Evening magazine since 2007, and the fourth manga volume shipped with the first anime DVD. The manga was nominated for the 2nd Manga Taisho Award last year.

Update: Tsutomu Mizushima (xxxHOLiC, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan, Genshiken) is returning to direct the animators at Production I.G on the second anime DVD with scriptwriter Daishiro Tanimura. The new DVD will also retain the same cast as the first DVD, including Masaya Onosaka (Azazel), Rina Satou (Rinko Sakuma), and Daisuke Namikawa (Akutabe). Souce: Comic Natalie
