Kadokawa's Anime NewType Channel website and YouTube channel have begun streaming a Panty/Stocking commercial, a Panty commercial, and a Stocking commercial for Gainax's Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt television anime series on Wednesday. The story centers around two angels, Panty and Stocking, who are sent from the heavens to battle the "Ghosts" on Earth. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 1, and Crunchyroll will simulcast it in several countries outside Japan.
Kadokawa has also begun streaming a television commercial for the Sora no Otoshimono: Forte (Heaven's Lost Property: Forte) anime on the Anime NewType Channel and YouTube websites on Wednesday. The project serves as a continuation of last year's Sora no Otoshimono (Heaven's Lost Property) anime series, which adapted Suu Minazuki's manga of the same name. The new series will premiere in Japan on October 1. Crunchyroll simulcasted the first anime series in North America, and it will simulcast the second series. Funimation will ship the first series on DVD next year.
The official website for Bones' Star Driver Kagayaki no Takuto television anime series began streaming a collaborative commercial with the girl group 9 nine and the fifth regular commercial on Wednesday.The "school robot action" story is set on a verdant island called Southern Cross, where a boy named Takuto Tsunashi arrives one night by swimming ashore. He enrolls in the island's high school academy, which happens to conceal a secret — 20 giant humanoid machines underground.
Takuya Igarashi (Soul Eater, Ouran High School Host Club) is directing the series with screenwriter Yoji Enokido (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Aim for the Top 2! Gunbuster 2), character designer Yoshiyuki Ito (Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater), and composer Satoru Kousaki (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Bakemonogatari). The anime will premiere in Japan on October 3, and New York Comic Con and Anime Festival will host the American premiere of the first English-subtitled episode on October 9. Masahiko Minami, the president and executive producer of Bones, will answer questions and sign autographs after the screening.
