Satoshi Kon's Seraphim, Opus Manga Reprinted

posted on by Egan Loo

The official website of anime/manga creator Satoshi Kon confirmed on Tuesday that Tokuma Shoten is publishing Kon and Mamoru Oshii's Seraphim: 2-Oku 6661-Man 3336 no Tsubasa (Seraphim: 266,613,336 Wings) manga on December 4 and Kon's OPUS manga on December 13. Tokuma Shoten's Animage magazine reprinted part of Seraphim earlier this year.

The story of Seraphim is set after the world has been ravaged by "tenshi-byō" (angel disease), an affliction that eventually leads to death for all the victims. To solve the mystery of this disease, three wise men and a girl named Sera embark on a journey to the heart of Central Asia. Many enemies and conspiracies await them along the way.

The two volumes of OPUS will contain the "illusive ending" to the story that was not printed during the manga's original magazine run.
