Brighton Japan Festival in June

Brighton Japan will run from June 18 to 26.

The Brighton Japan 2011 festival has put up a website, confirming the event will take place between June 18 and 26. The weekend of June 25/26 will see an outdoor part of the event called Asahi Anime. The site is unfinished, but registration forms are already available. The schedules will go up in coming weeks.

Brighton Japan is a week-long celebration of Japanese film, art, performance and culture. Involving the city's best and most prestigious venues including Brighton Dome & Pavilion, Duke of York's cinema, and Hotel Du Vin, the festival is set to become the largest showcase of Japanese culture in the UK. Don't miss the two massive open-air festivals taking place in front of Moshi Moshi, the Moshi Matsuri (18th/19th June) and the Asahi Anime Festival (25th/26th), featuring Taiko drumming,Gothic Lolita fashion, and Cosplay events, and much more.
