Akira U.K. Screenings Update

Four more cinema venues added in July.

Manga Entertainment has confirmed further Akira cinema screenings on its blog. An updated list follows, with the new additions marked with asterixes. The four new venues are Harbour Lights Southampton on July 2; Tyneside Cinema on July 4; HYDE Park Leeds on July 13; and the Aubin cinema in Shoreditch, London on July 31.

Barbican Centre, London, Friday June 24 to Thursday June 30, screenings at 2045.

Oxford Picturehouse – Saturday 2nd July at 2100.

* Harbour Lights Southampton – Saturday 2nd July at 2200.

Aberdeen Picturehouse - Monday 4th July at 2100.

Exeter Picturehouse – Monday 4th July at 2100.

York Picturehouse – Monday 4th July at 2030.

Norwich Picturehouse – Saturday 2nd July at 2040.

* Tyneside Cinema – Monday 4th July at 2030.

Stratford East– Thursday 7th July at 2030.

FACT (Liverpool)– Tuesday 12th July at 1820.

*Hyde Park Leeds – Wednesday 13th July at 1820.

Ritzy (Brixton) – Monday 18th July at 2045.

Regal (Henley) - Tuesday 26th July at 2030.

*London Aubin – Sunday 31st July.

A portion of the profits from the Picturehouse screenings will go to the Japan Society Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund. The film will be shown as part of Picturehouse's 'Culture Shock' film season. The screenings will be in Japanese with subtitles.
